Some are used by God to pray and give to missions, while others are called by God to go to other parts of their home country or to foreign countries. This “going” to an unfamiliar environment is a special time that God can use to mold and shape a person’s heart. We encourage health care professionals to consider these options for serving:
- Short-term Field Teams – A short-term (1-3 weeks) field team trip is usually your first exposure to GDMMissions. This is a way for a Christian to learn firsthand how dental and/or medical clinics are used to present the Gospel. Health care professionals with busy schedules also find that this is a good way to get to know GDMMissions and our approach to clinic evangelism.
- Associate Missionaries – Health care professionals who are led by God to use their special talents and skills on a regular basis for evangelism may apply for Associate Missionary status. All Associate Missionaries agree to participate in at least one short-term field team trip per year. Click here for more information on becoming an Associate Missionary.
- Full-time Dental or Medical Missionaries – GDMMissions has opportunities for full-time dental and medical missionary service. Individuals would first be selected to join the Mission as candidates to raise support from local churches. Selected individuals may participate as Full-time Missionaries in many ways including full-time Field Team leaders, in a missionary clinic, or establishing new clinics in foreign fields. Click here for more information on becoming a Full-time Missionary.
- Evangelism Team Coordinators - We are looking for mature Christian men with proven spiritual leadership skills to help lead one- and two-week field teams to foreign countries as part of our dental and medical evangelism programs. You don’t need a health care background and team leaders may be part-time for specific field trips or full-time as the Lord leads you to become part of the GDMMissions missionary staff. Contact the GDMMissions office for more information.
